About Us
Finca Manantiales has been in our family for two generations. Two and half years ago we planted our first cacao trees. The plants are of the Nacional-Fino de Aroma variety, also known as cacao Arriba, the native cacao tree of Ecuador.
Our farm is located in the coastal region of Manabi, Ecuador in Montecristi. We are in a unique microclimate 150 meters above sea level, between mountains and the Pacific Ocean, which generates delightful characteristics in our cacao.
History suggests Ecuador to be the origin of cacao dating back some 5000 years. It is a privilege and honor to grow this cacao on our farm, and a joy to harvest the beans for our Finca Manantiales chocolate bars.
